Residential Events
Each residential event provides a comfortable and safe space for you to take part in workshops with other gay men living with HIV to explore, through interactive exercises, how our quality of life can be affected by living with HIV as gay men. It allows us to share ideas on how the project can help to address these issues in a supportive environment. There will also be an introductory session on assertiveness for gay men living with HIV.
Each residential has capacity for 11 men. All costs, including accommodation, all meals, workshop sessions and travel to and from the venue by minibus are FREE to participants -funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
The workshops are very informal and provide an opportunity to share ideas and experiences as well as to explore how we can develop support networks and activities to improve our quality of life. It also provides an introduction to assertiveness and why this can affect your quality of life.
There will also be an opportunity explore the fabulous Snowdonia countryside - weather permitting!
Residentials will be held at a venue in Snowdonia which provides accommodation of a high standard (see photos below). All rooms are single occupancy and all are en-suite. All meals and refreshments will be provided during the residential and the venue has a reputation for serving delicious home-made food with an emphasis on fresh, unprocessed ingredients and seasonal homegrown produce.
